GREAT BARRIER REEF ISLANDS
For the well-travelled singles, couples and families who enjoy nature and exclusive settings.
A genuine natural wonder, the Great Barrier Reef is like no other place. Over 3,000 kilometres long and 65 kilometres wide, the reef is a result of millions of years of natural manufacture. It is home to a profusion of unbelievable sea creatures – over 1,400 species of brilliant fish, giant clams and a myriad of colourful anemones – making it the world’s largest marine park. Sprinkled throughout this natural aquarium are hundreds of tropical islands, some of which have been developed into superb resorts, catering for all tastes and budgets. These island resorts can be grouped into two: Whitsunday Islands, accessed from the airport on Hamilton Island; Upper Reef Islands, accessed from Cairns airport.
