Visa: All GCC nationals (except Saudi) & many westerners can get their visa on arrival. Expatriates & others can easily obtain a visit/tourist visa to Singapore. Your travel agent can assist you in obtaining a visa.

Getting There: Numerous Gulf & Far eastern carriers fly daily to Singapore from the Gulf region.

Language: English is one of the four official languages and therefore widely spoken.

Religion: Multi-racial Singapore is also a mixture of religions. The main religions are Islam, Buddhism, Christianity and Hinduism.

Transport: Singapore has an excellent transport system. Taxis are very reasonable and are available 24 hours. You may wish to try Singapore’s MRT apart from using your private car/coach transport.

Currency: The local currency is Singapore Dollar (SGD). Money can be exchanged at most of the banks, hotels and licensed money changers.

Eating in & out: Singapore is a gourmet’s delight, offering every type of international and local cuisine all around the city in restaurants, cafes, fast food & take away outlets. Halal food is easily available.

Shopping: Singapore has many shopping precincts and large number of high end and moderate shopping centres selling anything under the sun.

Climate: Singapore has a tropical climate with slight variations between maximum 31 degrees and minimum 23 degrees Celsius. Rain falls throughout the year and the monsoon season is from November to January.
